Closure to Start on Monday, Expected to Last Two Weeks

INDIANAPOLIS – Citizens Energy Group will close Zionsville Road at 96th Street beginning on Monday, May 6 so Citizens can relocate its current connection and create a second connection with the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline compressor station at 96th Street and Zionsville Road. Panhandle Eastern Pipeline is an interstate pipeline that accesses gas supply primarily from Texas and other parts of the Southwest United States. The closure is expected to last two weeks. Motorists should exercise caution and follow all posted detour signage.

“Citizens appreciates motorists’ patience and cooperation as we complete necessary work on natural gas system connections in this area,” said Ben Warren, Citizens’ Director Gas Transmission & Distribution. “The project will ensure gas system reliability and provide additional supply capacity from the Panhandle system.”
