Water Main Repair Expected to Take Several Hours

INDIANAPOLIS – Due to an ongoing water main break in Hendricks County, Citizens Energy Group has issued a precautionary boil water order for about 200 customers south of Lizton, and the Town of Pittsboro has issued the same order for all their water customers.

Citizens customers impacted by the boil order include those living in an area bounded by County Roads 800N, 450N, 573E and State Street in Lizton (State Route 39).

When water service is restored to Lizton and Pittsboro later today, customers are advised to boil their drinking water for three minutes and allow to cool prior to consumption. This advisory is effective for 36 hours. Citizens customers with questions should call (317) 924-3311. Pittsboro customers with questions should call (317) 892-3326.

Repairs to the broken water main are expected to take several hours. Updates on water service restoration will be provided when available.
