Closures Expected to Begin Monday, August 1
INDIANAPOLIS – As Citizens Energy Group continues to make progress on its DigIndy Tunnel System, upcoming construction will result in road closures on 22nd St. and E. Pleasant Run Parkway N. and S. Dr. beginning Monday, August 1.
The closure on 22nd St. will take place between Capitol Ave. and N. Kenwood Ave. (see map) and will last for approximately four weeks. Local access will remain open. Motorists should exercise caution and follow all posted detour signage to avoid closure areas.
The closure on E. Pleasant Run Parkway N. Dr. will take place between Churchman Ave. and St. Peter St. The closure on E. Pleasant Run Parkway S. Dr. will take place between Churchman Ave. and S. Keystone Ave. (see map). Both closures are expected to last for approximately 12 months. Local access will remain open. Motorists should exercise caution and follow all posted detour signage to avoid closure areas.
Completed portions of the DigIndy Tunnel System already have prevented more than 3 billion gallons of sewage from entering our local waterways. The entire system will be finished in 2025.
