# Trypus Named Collections Systems Professional of the Year

Congratulations to **John Trypus**, Director of Underground Engineering and Construction, for being named the Collections Systems Professional of the Year from the Indiana Water Environment Association!

He was recognized at the organization’s 2018 annual conference on August 17. Award winners are chosen for their innovation, technical aptitude, and significant contributions to the profession of wastewater collections.

“John routinely engages in and promotes new ways of thinking within the utility and the engineering and construction industries and continuously engages in community and professional events to educate the public about ongoing Citizens projects ,” said **Mark Jacob**, Vice President, Capital Programs & Engineering/Quality. “John is a role model and has earned incredible respect within the industry.”
