Lane Restrictions for DigIndy Work to Last from September 26 Through End of November

INDIANAPOLIS – As Citizens Energy Group continues to make progress on its DigIndy Tunnel System, upcoming construction will result in lane restrictions on N. Illinois St. and W. Fall Creek Pkwy. N. Dr. beginning Monday, September 26 (see map). The lane closures are expected to last through November. Motorists should exercise caution in the work area and consider taking other routes to avoid delays.

This work is a component of the Fall Creek Tunnel project, which is part of the larger DigIndy Tunnel System. Once the 3.9-mile Fall Creek Tunnel is complete in 2025, sewer overflows now going to Fall Creek will be redirected to the tunnel, creating a healthier, more vibrant waterway and community.

The open portions of the DigIndy Tunnel System already have prevented more than 3 billion gallons of sewage from entering our local waterways. The entire DigIndy Tunnel System will be complete in 2025.

We know construction is never without its challenges, and we greatly appreciate your patience. For more information on Citizens’ construction projects, visit www.CitizensEnergyGroup.com/Construction.
