Construction at this southside intersection will limit traffic for approximately 11 weeks.
INDIANAPOLIS – Beginning on or after Monday, October 2, construction work on wastewater infrastructure will require the closure of much of the intersection between Madison Avenue and E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive for approximately 11 weeks. E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive will be fully closed to traffic at the intersection, and Madison Avenue will be limited to only a single lane of through traffic in each direction (with no turning action permitted).
East- and westbound through traffic from E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive may detour around the closure via Raymond Street, connecting by way of S Meridian Street and Pagoda Drive. Madison Avenue travelers (prevented from turning) will encounter signage communicating how to access E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive by various routes.
Various adjacent properties will retain access via driveways from either Madison Avenue or E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive; these include Christel House South Academy - Manual High School as well as two gas stations.
Travelers are reminded to follow all signage and to be especially careful when near an active construction zone.
