Work to Install New Water Main Is Expected to Last Four Weeks
INDIANAPOLIS – As Citizens Energy Group continues to invest in its water system, upcoming construction will result in the rolling closure of a portion of 62nd Street between Winnpeny Lane and Allisonville Road (see map). Work to install a new water main will begin on Tuesday, July 5 and will last approximately four weeks. The road closure will only be in place Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; no weekend closures will take place.
Homes and businesses on 62nd Street will be accessible from one direction when the road is closed - either the east via Binford Boulevard or the west via Allisonville Road. The rolling nature of the closure means that the direction from which homes and businesses are accessible may change throughout the duration of the work.
Motorists should exercise caution and follow all posted detour signage. The detour route utilizes Allisonville Road, Kessler Boulevard E. Drive, and Binford Boulevard.
We know construction is never without its challenges, and we greatly appreciate your patience. For more information on Citizens’ construction projects, visit www.CitizensEnergyGroup.com/Construction.
