Options Available Include Flexible Payment Arrangements and Financial Assistance

 

INDIANAPOLIS – The state moratorium on utility disconnections ends today, Friday, August 14. Citizens Energy Group continues to encourage customers behind on their utility bills to reach out for help in establishing flexible payment arrangements and locating sources of financial assistance. Citizens President & CEO Jeffrey Harrison said, “With the end of the extended moratorium, Citizens Energy Group continues to work with all our customers in need by maximizing financial assistance sources and establishing long-term payment arrangements. Our goal is simple: We want to support our customers as they navigate the challenges of COVID-19 by helping them keep their utilities connected.”

 

Citizens is waiving late payment charges for all customers through Oct. 14. Flexible payment arrangements allow customers to catch up on past-due bills over an extended period while keeping their service connected. Payment arrangements lasting up to 12 months are available. Citizens can also can help customers explore financial assistance options, including through its Warm Heart Warm Home Foundation™.

 

In addition, United Way of Central Indiana has extended its Winter Assistance Fund through August 31.
