Volunteers can sign up online or in person to assist at the 34th Annual White River Cleanup, planned for Saturday, April 29.
INDIANAPOLIS – On Saturday, April 29, the Friends of the White River will host the 34th Annual White River Cleanup, an opportunity for a blitz of volunteers to assist in removing litter, trash, and illegally dumped debris from the banks of one of Indianapolis' most precious natural resources. Serving as a lead sponsor to the event, Citizens Energy Group has already recruited more than 50 employee volunteers to get their hands dirty at this year's cleanup, and Citizens invites any Central Indiana resident to join more than 100 volunteers who are already registered.
Volunteers are encouraged to sign up via this form but may also register on site at the event.
Participants should prepare to arrive at 1163 N Belmont Avenue for check-in at 8:00am on April 29. The volunteer event will last until about noon.
Sponsoring and volunteering with Friends of the White River's annual White River Cleanup event is one of many ways--including Citizens’ DigIndy Tunnel System project--that Citizens Energy Group is working to sustain the long-term viability of the river as a unique natural resource now and for future generations.
