Testing Is Complete and Water Is Safe for Drinking
INDIANAPOLIS – Citizens Energy Group has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory issued on Friday, June 5, 2026 for customers in an area on the northwest side of Indianapolis due to a water main break near 56th Street and Reed Road.
Citizens has completed testing required by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and confirmed that drinking water in the advisory area is safe and no longer needs to be boiled prior to consumption.
Customer safety is of the utmost importance at Citizens. We know water outages and boil advisories are inconvenient, and we deeply appreciate customers’ patience and cooperation over the weekend.
Please share this information with all other people who may have been affected by this advisory, particularly those who may not have received this notice directly. You can do so by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand.
