Closure Expected to Begin on Thursday, December 8 & Last for Eight Months
INDIANAPOLIS – As Citizens Energy Group continues to make progress on its DigIndy Tunnel System, upcoming construction will require the closure of E. Pleasant Run Parkway S. Dr. between N. Webster Ave. and Sheridan Ave. (see map). The closure is expected to last approximately eight months. Local access will remain open. Motorists should exercise caution and follow all posted detour signage to avoid closure areas. Signage will also be in place to help motorists navigate the Irvington Community Middle School pick-up and drop-off lines.
Completed portions of the DigIndy Tunnel System already have prevented more than 3 billion gallons of sewage from entering our local waterways. The entire system will be finished in 2025.
