The northbound lanes of the thoroughfare as well as the Central White River Trail will close for up to three weeks, beginning on or after August 24. INDIANAPOLIS – Citizens Energy Group today announced the upcoming closure of northbound lanes along N White River Parkway Drive West (just north of its intersection with Michigan Street), expected to begin on or after August 24. The closure, expected to last up to three weeks, will allow for planned sewer improvements. A portion of the Central White River Trail will also be closed just north of Michigan Street.

A map of the work zone and detours is included within this release.

Signage will detour northbound vehicular through-traffic to and from the route via West Street, using W Michigan and W 10th streets. Pedestrians will be detoured using Porto Alegre Street, just across the White River.

Local access will be maintained to homes and businesses within the work zone. Construction will not impact sewer service, but workers may be seen around sewer manholes.

Citizens has worked to communicate details about the closure to nearby residents and stakeholders.
