DigIndy infrastructure improvements require the road's closure into August 2024.

INDIANAPOLIS – Citizens Energy Group today announced the upcoming closure of a segment of E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive, between Denny Street and near Brookfield Road, beginning on or after Monday, December 4. Located primarily through Christian Park on Indianapolis' east side, the impacted segment will allow for continued work on the DigIndy Tunnel System project. The closure is expected to conclude in August 2024.

Roadway users may detour around the closure via Sherman Drive, E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive, and Brookville Road. Several interior park pathways which cross Pleasant Run Parkway may be interrupted by construction as well as a small portion of the regional Pleasant Run Trail; a detour will be installed to safely route Pleasant Run Trail users around construction.

The Christian Park Center will be accessible via its standard entrance throughout the project timeline. Access to several homes adjacent to the closure will be maintained for residents by the project contractor.

Travelers are reminded to follow all signage and to be especially careful when near an active construction zone.
