Intermittent roadway restrictions for water main installation will occur between early November and late January.
ZIONSVILLE, IND. – Citizens Energy Group advises that small segments of Circle Drive, Royal Avenue, and Harmon Avenue near Indianapolis Road will soon be temporarily closed or restricted in a construction sequence allowing for continued work on a water main installation. Beginning this week, the construction sequence will continue in phases through late January, with street limitations lasting for less than 10 days on most individual segments.
The street segments, which form a roughly figure-eight arrangement accessing Indianapolis Road at two points, will allow through-traffic to access the area throughout most of the construction period. A GIS-based map of the specific project can be found that this link alongside other Citizens Energy Group construction work.
Local access to adjacent properties will be maintained throughout the work, and lane restrictions may be lifted at the end of each shift where possible. Asphalt road replacement and repairs will be made during construction, in accordance with local requirements. Signage and flaggers will direct traffic near construction zones.
This work is located on the north end of the Northeast Hendricks County Main Extension, a water main project in construction since August 2026. This water main project is distinct from a planned booster station construction project nearby which has not yet entered the construction phase.
