[Update - 2/21/24]: Crews anticipate that construction at this location will be completed (and Prospect Street reopened to traffic) on or near March 1, 2024.

Road closure near the Prospect Street entrance to the CJC will limit traffic into early January 2024.

INDIANAPOLIS – Citizens Energy Group today announced the closure of a segment of Prospect Street east of South Keystone Avenue, near the intersection with Justice Way on the south side of the city’s Community Justice Campus. The impacted segment will allow for continued work on the DigIndy Tunnel System project. The closure is expected to conclude in early January 2024.

While there are no residences adjacent to the closure, motorists and cyclists may detour around the closure via Keystone Avenue, E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive, and Southeastern Avenue.

Access to the Community Justice Campus main entrance from E Pleasant Run Parkway N Drive remains unimpacted.

Travelers are reminded to follow all signage and to be especially careful when near an active construction zone.

About the DigIndy Tunnel System:
Completed portions of the DigIndy Tunnel System already have prevented nearly 5 billion gallons of sewage from entering our local waterways. The entire system will be finished in 2025. Learn more about DigIndy online, and check out the 360 VR Tunnel Tour on YouTube.
