Citizens Energy Group’s Warm Heart Warm Home Foundation™ provides financial assistance to customers having difficulty paying their utility bills. When combined with other forms of assistance, Warm Heart Warm Home grants can help customers sustain their utility services and catch up on past due bills.
The Warm Heart Warm Home Foundation Board of Directors set a goal to increase annual contributions to the foundation to more than $1 million.
To help meet this goal, Citizens hosted the inaugural Warm Heart Warm Home Foundation Fundraiser and Topgolf Tournament last November. Due to the success of the event, which raised enough money to help over 4,000 families, Citizens planned to host the tournament annually. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, we have canceled this year’s event.
We are hopeful that local organizations will still consider making a financial donation to support Warm Heart Warm Home this fall.
Now, more than ever, our community needs our support. There are more than a quarter million households in our region living in, or near, the poverty level. That number is expected to increase as we emerge from the pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers have fallen more than two months behind on their utility bills, according to an August 3 report by the Indianapolis Star.
One hundred percent of all donations will help keep services connected and aid with health and safety needs such as weatherization; and repair/replacement of furnaces, water heaters, and gas, water and sewer lines.
If your organization is interested in making a donation, please see this form for more details. All donors will be recognized for their support on Citizens Energy Group’s website.
