Lanes to Be Impacted into Early Next Week
INDIANAPOLIS – Citizens Energy Group’s sewer rehabilitation work on Pennsylvania Street will extend into early next week. Currently, three lanes of Pennsylvania Street are closed. Contractors are expected to reopen one of the closed lanes tomorrow afternoon. This configuration is anticipated to last until Tuesday evening, when all lanes are expected to reopen.
Many of the sewers in the Mile Square area of downtown date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. To avoid structure failures such as those that occurred downtown in summer 2018, Citizens remains committed to investing in sewer rehabilitation and infrastructure improvements.
