For the second consecutive year, Citizens Energy Group participated in the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show, the world's largest annual trade show for wastewater professionals.
The event was held in Indianapolis February 20-23, and along with the trade show, included educational sessions, tours, networking events, and demonstrations.
Last year was the first time in the show’s history that technical tours were offered. Because of positive feedback about the Belmont Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant tour and the DigIndy drop shaft tour in 2018, Citizens again offered those tours to attendees at this year’s show.
Tim Blagsvedt, Director, Wastewater Collections, had an opportunity to participate in the New Professional Speed Mentoring Roundtable Event for the first time this year. He led a discussion among young wastewater professionals about a variety of topics, including chemical purchasing, on-site wastewater treatment, and ammonia removal from oil and grease recovery facility discharge.
“The roundtable event presented an excellent opportunity to share with the group the unique nature of the Trust and how Citizens handles similar challenges that these professionals face,” said Blagsvedt.
