Citizens employees surpassed Quality goals in fiscal year 2019. Read on to find out how many employees participated in Continuous Improvement activities and achieved belt certifications.
FY19 Continuous Improvement Activities Exceed Goals
For fiscal year 2019, our goal was to have 300 employees participate in various Continuous Improvement (CI) activities. We far surpassed our goal with a total of 484 employees involved in Continuous Improvement activities, such as participating in 6S events and Waste ID Sessions, attending Blue, Green or Yellow Belt Training, and being a team member on a CI project.
The organization also exceeded the goal of achieving belt certifications for 75 employees, with a final total of 93 employees belt certified. In FY19, employees earned one Green Belt Certification, 36 Yellow Belt Certifications and 56 Blue Belt (Lean Leadership) Certifications.
FY20 Levels of Quality and Learning Opportunities
New Levels of Quality recently have been rolled out with the beginning of fiscal year 2020. This year the Quality department has added several new options that will count toward Continuous Improvement participation. This provides a variety of activities and new ways to get involved with CLASS. Please contact your CLASS Ambassador to get details on this year’s Levels of Quality.
New training offerings are available for becoming a Gemba Guide and also for CLASS refresher training. These classes are starting in December and can be found on the iTrust training calendar. Also, check the digital wall monitors and iTrust for information.
