5 Tips to Increase Your Water Intake

Drinking water provides many benefits to the body including enhancing physical performance while exercising, boosting energy, and improving brain function. A good rule of thumb is to aim for 8 glasses  (8 ounces each) of water per day, or at least 64 ounces daily. Here are a few tips to help you increase your water intake:

1. Add Flavor to your water

Adding fresh produce to your water is a great way to add natural flavors. Here are some fun flavor combinations:

  • Lemons and Strawberries
  • Cucumber and Raspberries 
  • Cucumber, Lemon, and Mint Leaves

2. Drink a glass of water before every meal

3. Choose sparkling water over soda

4. Use a straw

5. Set time goals for every 8 oz.
