Since being named Citizens Energy Group’s 2018 Jefferson Award winner in March, Olivia Hawbaker, Project Manager, has attended both local and national ceremonies honoring the community service efforts of this year’s recipients. In late June, she traveled to Washington, D.C., where she heard about individuals across the country who are positively impacting the lives of others.
“It was inspiring to hear so many stories of how people are making an impact by helping one individual at a time,” Hawbaker said. “There are so many people doing so many things that just seem like normal life to them. The Jefferson Awards seek to recognize those small acts of service that are really making a difference.”
Hawbaker encourages Citizens employees to nominate coworkers who are impacting the community.
