Congratulations to the 21 individuals who retired from Citizens Energy Group in 2022!

We're celebrating several new hires and service anniversaries! In this issue, we also mourn the recent loss of five retirees.

You can slip when you lose your footing, you can trip when you catch your foot on or in something, and you fall when you come down suddenly. Spills, ice, snow, rain, loose mats, rugs, and stepladders are some of the common causes of slips, trips, and falls. In addition, poor lighting and clutter can cause injuries such as sprains, strains, bruises, bumps, fractures, scratches, and cuts.

Citizens Energy Group has been helping redevelop neighborhoods and fuel economic development for nearly 30 years through its Investment Collaboration on Neighborhoods (ICON). ICON provides low-interest gap funding to non-profit organizations in the form of short-term loans.

Now in its 11th year, Citizens Energy Group’s Art of Conservation Poster Contest encourages Marion County and Westfield students in two categories – grades 3-5 and grades 6-8 – to use their creativity to illustrate how to conserve energy and water. The contest is a partnership between Citizens, the Indianapolis Colts, and the National Energy Foundation.

Citizens Energy Group recently presented SAMCO Locating Company a special Acknowledgement Award for the fifth time for its extraordinary performance.

The Partnership for Safe Water has recognized Citizens Energy Group’s T.W. Moses Water Treatment Plant with the Presidents Award for Treatment Plant Optimization.

Citizens Careers replaces iRecruitment as our applicant-tracking system and improves the user experience through several new features. For example, applicants now have the ability to view, apply for, and bid on job openings using their mobile device (it is also available on desktop). In addition, hiring managers can use Citizens Careers to do the following:

Adam Lowe will assume the role of editor of Engauge beginning with the upcoming April/May issue. Adam joined Citizens Energy Group as the Editorial Communications Lead in late February. Adam comes to Citizens with more than 20 years of corporate communications experience. Most recently he served as Marketing & Communications Manager for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana where he spearheaded the creation of the organization’s first semi-annual magazine, Heart & Hearth. Prior to Ronald McDonald House, Lowe managed The Carnation, the membership magazine for Delta Sigma Phi, a men’s collegiate fraternity, where he served as Communications Director.

The critical water outlet valve at Geist Reservoir has been replaced to ensure continued water supply to our Central Indiana service territory.
