Citizens Energy Group recently presented SAMCO Locating Company a special Acknowledgement Award for the fifth time for its extraordinary performance.
The award, which was created by Citizens, recognizes SAMCO for completing 179,401 “locate” requests for Water Operations with a 99 percent accuracy rate from 2021 to 2022. Only two service lines were damaged, and those were the result of “no-mark” errors. In the past eight years, SAMCO has completed 1,418,314 locate requests with only 32 damages. Steve Anthis, Director of Operations at SAMCO, accepted this year’s award and praised his entire team for their exceptional performance. “With the help of SAMCO's talented superintendents and supervisors leading the team of locating technicians, the integrity of the Citizens Energy Group water system is in good hands. This result displays continued extraordinary performance,” said Anthis.
