At the January Leadership Forum, Curtis Popp, Vice President, Customer Operations, recognized Jonathan Berry, Lead Water Treatment Operator with Citizens Westfield, as the 2019 annual Customer Champion Award winner.
Berry was named the third quarter Customer Champion at the November Leadership Forum. He was chosen from among the other 2019 quarterly winners because of his efforts to go above and beyond and to demonstrate best practices of owning the customer experience while operating a Westfield water treatment plant manually during a telecommunications outage.
Read more about how Jonathan acted with urgency, demonstrated that he knew the business, made it personal, and collaborated in the January/February Engauge.
Ed Bukovac, Senior Manager, Engineering and Plant Operations, praised him for his efforts, saying, “Jon is a great team player and is extremely dedicated. This story is just one example of the dedication he displays daily. If he hadn’t gone above and beyond, there could have been a huge impact on customers across the entire water system.”
Along with being recognized at Leadership Forum and in Engauge, Berry received $2,500 and a reserved parking spot.
Nominate Coworkers

The quarterly nomination deadlines for 2020 are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31.
