Citizens Energy Group recognizes employee events are a key driver of employee satisfaction and serve as a great opportunity to celebrate as a team. As with nearly everything else in 2020, the pandemic impacted our employee events. Some were cancelled. Some were modified.
To get a pulse on employee perspectives on events, Corporate Affairs initiated conversations with members of the Diversity and Inclusion and One Company, One Culture Teams and the CLASS Ambassadors. We sent surveys to these employees and conducted three focus groups to better understand how employees feel about events and to gather suggestions for improvement.
Based on those conversations, in conjunction with continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, Citizens will host outdoor events only for the remainder of calendar year 2021, as outlined below. Beyond 2021, we will continue to incorporate feedback and make appropriate changes to our regular events.
Our Employee Summer Celebration at Victory Field will be held August 29. Employees can find more information, as well as a link to register for the event, on iTrust.
The Quarter Century Club Ceremony will be canceled in 2021 out of an abundance of caution for attendees, the majority of whom are seniors. Instead, as was done in 2020, we will highlight and honor inductees in a special section of the September Engauge.
Logistics for our Employee Veterans Celebration will be similar to 2020, with a drive-through gift pickup for our veterans. Additionally, we will post a list of all employee veterans and their branches and years of service on iTrust and share with all employees.
Our Winter Celebration (formerly called Holiday Party) will not be held this year out of an abundance of caution for attendees, many of whom are children under the age of 12 and not yet eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. We are hoping to celebrate with our families and colleagues in 2022.
