Best Places to Work Survey Coming in January

The goal aligned with our employee engagement strategic pillar is to become an employer of choice in Indiana.

One way to measure the progress toward achievement of this goal is by participating in the Best Places to Work (BPTW) employee survey and the associated employer assessment. Top-scoring companies on the survey make the Best Places to Work list. While we would be pleased to make the list, the survey also provides valuable feedback from our employees that can help us enhance our workplace culture.

The employee survey, which asks for feedback on things such as role satisfaction, communication, relationship with supervisor, and benefits, is worth 80 percent of the overall score. The employer assessment provides information about Citizens’ benefits, policies, practices, and workforce demographics and is worth 20 percent of the overall score.

Results of the Best Places to Work survey are anonymous and are used by internal groups such as the strategic planning teams to develop ideas that will enhance employee engagement. Several recent projects, including those listed below, were intended to positively impact our workplace culture:

  • Developed and deployed a sustainable action plan for the One Company, One Culture program
  • Implemented a new performance management system, now known as CSA Performance
  • Launched the Microsoft Teams application and SharePoint Online for better hybrid environment collaboration
  • Made 401(k) plan available for part-time employees
  • Deployed the Citizens for Good volunteer portal to measure community engagement
  • Added tuition-reimbursement benefit for part-time Contact Center employees
  • Deployed The Pipeline resource hub for employees to learn about other departments, career-development opportunities, and more
  • Launched a return-to-work and a pilot flexible work plan

The BPTW survey will be distributed electronically in January. All employees are encouraged to complete the survey to continue to impact employee engagement initiatives. Contact Tamiko Kendrick, Director, Diversity, Inclusion and Talent Management, with questions.
