A new course is available on Citizens Success Academy to help employees be ambassadors of the Citizens Energy Group brand.
The One Company, One Culture team worked with Jennifer Mentink, Manager Brand and Corporate Engagement, and Organizational Development to create the “Fulfilling Our Brand Promise” course because all employees tremendously influence the company's success and brand image.
The One Company, One Culture team was formed at the beginning of fiscal year 2021 to strengthen our workplace culture and rally around our mission, vision, and values to maintain a strong focus on serving our customers. The success of the One Company, One Culture initiative is dependent upon breaking down silos. One way to do this is with visual elements. As such, the team has worked with Corporate Affairs and Facilities to update building and vehicle logos, create new branded templates, and add resources to the Employee Brand Center.
Employees are encouraged to take the course for a refresher on what it means to be an ambassador of the brand and how each employee plays a role in helping Citizens achieve our brand promise. The 15-minute training course is an adaptation of the presentation Mentink provides for new employees during the Promise of the Trust event.
The course also reminds employees that the use of “CEG” in written or verbal communication is a brand violation. To shorten our company name, employees are asked to use “Citizens” in order to distinguish us from other utility companies that use abbreviations in their name and to build upon the brand equity we’ve built over the past 135 years.
You can find the course by searching for “Fulfilling Our Brand Promise” in the search bar at the top of the CSA home page.
