At Citizens, veterans make up about 13 percent of our workforce. As a small gesture of our appreciation, employees who have served in the military were recognized at Citizens Energy Group’s Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, November 15.
Army veteran Curtis Popp, Vice President Customer Operations, welcomed attendees to the event, held at the Riverside Park Family Center. Employee veterans enjoyed lunch, visiting veteran information tables, remarks by President and CEO Jeffrey A. Harrison, and a presentation by Jeffrey S. Imel, who works for the Red Cross as the Indiana Region Director, Service to the Armed Forces and International Services Programs. The Fire, Police, and Sheriff’s Honor Guard presented the colors, and Yvette Dennis, Revenue Assurance Representative, sang the National Anthem and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
