Citizens’ financial support ensures every home has high-efficiency natural gas appliances and building wrap.   With community support as well as support from volunteers and donors, the organization provides quality, affordable homes for local families. Selected Habitat homeowners pay a modest down payment, invest 300 hours of “sweat equity,” which includes construction of their home, and are responsible for zero-percent-interest monthly mortgage payments and home maintenance. Through the homeownership education program and financial counseling, Habitat homeowners are given the tools to be successful in this life-changing endeavor.  “Partnering with Habitat for Humanity fits well with the mission of Citizens Energy Group,” said Citizens President & CEO **Jeffrey Harrison**, “which is focused on providing outstanding customer service while making investments that support enhanced quality of life and economic development across Indianapolis.
