Citizens Energy Group sponsored a day at the STEM Connection’s “Our Wonderful World” camp in late September.
The mission of The STEM Connection is to facilitate hands-on, minds-on, feet-on-the-ground science, technology, engineering, and math experiences at its 30-acre Moore Road Farm on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The organization strives to engage those who are underrepresented in STEM careers: women, people of color, and people with disabilities.
Campers spent the week learning more about “Our Wonderful World” with each day focused on a different part of the theme – soil, sun, water, food chains, food webs, and ecosystems.
Citizens was the sponsor of the Wonderful Water Day, which was attended by 24 youth who enjoyed a water cycle activity and a nature hike.
