On Earth Day, April 22, Market Strategies International-Morpace named Citizens Energy Group and 28 other utilities across the nation Cogent Reports Environmental Champions.
This is the third year in a row Citizens has received this designation. Market Strategies International-Morpace surveyed 61,023 utility customers of 140 electric, natural gas and combination utilities over the last 12 months and scored the utilities on an Environmental Dedication index.
Environmental Champion utilities have been rated by customers as among the best on environmental commitment, support of
environmental causes and aiding customers to become more environmentally friendly.
Ann McIver, Director Environmental Stewardship, said, “Citizens is pleased to be recognized for our sustainability efforts through the Environmental Champion program. Practicing sustainability leadership helps fulfill the mission of the Public Charitable Trust to provide
safe, reliable, affordable utility services that contribute to economic development and the quality and affordability of life in our communities.”
