From October 1, 2019 to July 31, 2020, Citizens Energy Group’s Warm Heart Warm Home (WHWH) Foundation has provided over $525,000 in energy assistance and low-income utility service to more than 12,000 customers, and has been an especially helpful resource throughout the pandemic. The Foundation’s board of directors has set a goal to increase annual contributions to the Foundation to exceed $1 million. Citizens’ WHWH Fundraising Team developed some campaigns for increasing funding. Below are a couple of ways you can support the cause.
Submit Recipes for Cookbook
Employees and retirees are encouraged to submit their favorite recipes for consideration to be included in an online cookbook by completing the form at https://info.citizensenergygroup.com/recipes. Photos are encouraged! The deadline to send in recipes is October 1. Later this year, employees will be able to gain access to the online cookbook by making at least a $12.50 donation to Warm Heart Warm Home.
Donate the Cost of Coffee
To celebrate International Coffee Day on September 29, employees are invited to donate the cost of their favorite cup of coffee to Warm Heart Warm Home. Fun fact: If half of our employees gave $5, we’d raise nearly $3,000 in one day! And that’s enough to help 20 families struggling with utility bills.
