Healthcare costs continue to rise for both employers and their employees. One factor contributing to the increase is the cost of covering dependents who are not eligible for plan benefits. As part of our ongoing efforts to control these costs and to keep our enrollment records up to date, Citizens has contracted with BMI Audit Services (BMI) to perform relationship dependent verification for those enrolled in our medical, dental, and vision insurance programs.
If you have a dependent enrolled in our medical, dental, and/or vision plans, you will receive a personalized audit packet to the mailing address that we have on file after the first of the new year. The packet will include an informational letter, verification form, and postage-paid return envelope.
Everyone who receives the packet is asked to provide the requested documentation to BMI even if they already have provided it to Human Resources or uploaded to BSwift, our benefits enrollment website. Your participation in this important dependent-eligibility audit is appreciated.
