A team of more than 50 Citizens Energy Group employees and their families and friends raised more than $37,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2019 Light The Night Walk, which took place on Saturday, October 5 at Military Park.
Leading up to the walk, team members gathered donations from family and friends, held bake sales and ice cream socials, and received contributions from fellow coworkers and vendors, all in the name of finding a cure for blood cancers.
One of the highlights of the Citizens team’s fundraising efforts was the popular bake sale in Langsdale 1A spearheaded by team captains Anne Payne and Michelle Bennington, which raised more than $1,100.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Citizens Light The Night team’s efforts a success in 2019!
