Employees Volunteer for Several Events this Spring

Thank you to all our employees who spent time representing Citizens Energy Group through volunteer service this spring!  

 

White River Cleanup | April 30 

As a sponsor of the annual downtown White River Cleanup, Citizens helps recruit volunteers to remove litter and illegally dumped debris from the banks of the White River. More than 115 individuals from Citizens, Friends of the White River, and the community removed 18 tons of trash this year! Several participants pictured at right.

 

 

Earth Day at the J | May 1 Earth Day_2022 (89)-crop

The Max and Mae Simon Jewish Community Campus welcomed members of the community on Sunday, May 1 to learn from organizations that share the common goal of protecting the earth and its resources. Citizens volunteers educated attendees about the DigIndy Tunnel System and water conservation. 

 

 

 

 

 

Mini Marathon Pit Station | May 7 Mini Marathon 1

Nearly 50 employees and their family members helped replenish runners with water at Citizens’ pit station inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A huge thank-you goes to Robert Guthrie for picking up coffee and doughnuts and bringing a cooler of ice to keep the volunteers’ drinks cool during the race.  

 

 

 

 

 

Geist Marathon - IMG_1763Geist Half Marathon | May 21 

About 20 volunteers represented Citizens Energy Group at the Geist Half Marathon as they set up and cleaned up the start/finish line and handed out refreshments and awards. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Earth Day Indiana Festival | June 4 Earth Day Indiana Festival-6.4.22-crop

Citizens sponsored the Youth Activity Center at the Earth Day Indiana Festival, which was held at Garfield Park. Nine volunteers provided water-related experiments at Citizens’ booth and handed out reusable shopping bags, activity sheets for kids, and buttons.
