Many employees working remotely will begin returning to their regular work locations starting on July 6 as a pilot Flexible Work Program is implemented across the company.
Currently about 60 percent of the Citizens workforce is working at their regular work locations with the remainder working remotely full or part-time.
“The transition of employees back to their regular work locations will be gradual as departments are given maximum flexibility to implement the pilot Flexible Work Program,” said Director, Human Resources Mark Bender. “The Flexible Work Program is designed to provide remote work opportunities for employees able to do so, without disrupting the Trust’s Mission, Vision, and Values, business objectives, and focus on serving our customers and our community.”
Full implementation of the Flexible Work Program will be phased-in by departments over the next several months. Employees will be expected to follow CDC and local COVID-19 safety measures.
“As we implement the Flexible Work Program it is important that we continue our focus on safety and One Company, One Culture, which drives a shared passion toward our common set of Strategic Goals guided by our Vision, Mission and Values,” explained Bender. “The Flexible Work program is designed to encourage remote work when appropriate, while maintaining an appropriate level of management for continued performance excellence.”
Bender said the Flexible Work Program directly addresses our Strategic Goal under the Employee Engagement Pillar to become an employer of choice in Central Indiana. “Increasingly, employees across the country rank flexible work schedules as an important component of employee satisfaction. This program will help Citizens attract and retain talented employees,” said Bender.
Eligibility for the Flexible Work Program is based on a number of factors, including employee performance and productivity, and the needs of the department and the Trust. Flexible Work arrangements are expected to include some employees working full-time at work locations and others in a hybrid of remote and onsite work. Employees with questions about return-to-work issues or the Flexible Work Program, are encouraged to speak with their immediate supervisor.
