In this month’s wellness news, find out who the April and May wellness champions are and get details about how to continue receiving a discount on your medical insurance premium.
How to Continue Receiving Medical Premium Discount
All benefit-eligible employees are receiving the discounted medical insurance rate effective June 1 – October 31, 2020, because many of the spring health screenings were canceled due to the pandemic.
Employees who did not participate in, or who were given a goal at, the spring health screening, must attend fall screenings, have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of less than 30, and be tobacco free in order to continue receiving the discount. However, if you believe you may not successfully meet the screening criteria, you still have an opportunity to continue to receive the medical premium discount by completing the reasonable alternatives listed below prior to October 15, 2020.
Employees who participated in, and passed, the spring health screenings do not need to participate in fall health screenings, and they will continue to receive the medical premium discount through May 31, 2021.
Spouses must participate and meet the screening criteria or complete the reasonable alternatives prior to October 15 in order to receive a $250 deposit into the employee’s health savings account.

- Attend three health coaching sessions (in person or telephonic) before October 15, 2020.
