Citizens Energy Group is proud to partner with Multiplying Good, the nonprofit that organizes the Jefferson Awards, to promote the value of community service.

Since 2007, Citizens has chosen a Jefferson Award winner from among its employees and retirees. Each year, the winner is recognized at Leadership Forum, in Engauge, and at the national awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Due to the pandemic, this year’s awards ceremony was held virtually, and therefore, our 2020 winner, Tracey Black, was not given the opportunity to travel to D.C. A recording of the virtual ceremony is available at https://www.multiplyinggood.org/. In addition, you can watch a special program highlighting other local winners by visiting wrtv.com and searching for “Jefferson Awards."

At this time, it is not certain whether an in-person ceremony will be held in 2021. To ensure Black gets the opportunity to attend the D.C. event in the future, Citizens will not be announcing a 2021 Jefferson Award winner. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
