New Performance Management System Welcomed by Employees

Perhaps the most welcome strategic initiative in recent history, CSA Performance launched on October 1 and is being used by non-bargaining employees to manage performance for calendar year 2022.

Replacing Oracle PPR, the new system expands Citizens Success Academy (CSA) to include not only learning, but now performance management.

With a tagline of “Perform, Learn, Grow,” CSA Performance has been well-received so far thanks to its intuitive navigation and real-time feedback capabilities.

"I am excited to use the new system to create and track my goals for next year,” said Danny Hutson, Financial and Operational Auditor. “The system is intuitive, and the drop-down selections make it easy to maneuver."

Non-bargaining employees should use CSA Performance to create and enter their performance and development goals for 2022. Goals should be created, discussed with your manager, and added to your 2022 Performance Review Form by January 1.

CSA Performance allows employees to track and discuss goal progress with their manager throughout the year, not just during mid-year and end-of-year discussions.

“It’s beneficial to understand where we are throughout the year,” said Randy Rollins, Manager, Contact Center. “As a manager, I can easily review the status of my employees’ performance plans at any time.”

Employees are encouraged to watch the CSA Performance e-course on the CSA home page – if they haven’t done so already – and re-watch it throughout the year as they utilize the new system.

Quick Reference Guides, which include step-by-step instructions for completing the mid-year assessment and the end-of-year review, also can be found on the CSA homepage.

Phase two of the CSA Performance project will roll out in calendar year 2022, and additional features will be added to the system.
