Adrianne Bowers has been employed at Citizens for almost five years. Her job responsibilities include implementing and managing benefit plans and answering employees’ questions about the company’s benefits.
1. Where did you work before coming to Citizens?
Previously, I held a similar role at an electronics manufacturer in Illinois. My husband and I both are from Lafayette. We moved back to Indiana to be closer to our family before our daughter started school.
2.What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy being able to interact with employees from across the organization as well as retirees and helping them resolve any issues they have with benefits.
3. What is the most challenging part of your job?
It is challenging to determine the best ways to communicate with employees to ensure they understand Citizens’ benefits and the resources available to them as employees. My goal is to respond to emails and voicemails within 48 hours but sometimes that can be a challenge to manage considering I am the main benefits contact for around 1,200 active employees and nearly as many retirees.
4. What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy reading, cooking and baking, crafting, and building Legos with my 9-year-old daughter.
5. Does your family have any pets?
Yes, we have four cats, one dog, and a tank full of fish!
