Wastewater Employees Honored for More than 40 Years of Service

Seven Wastewater Operations employees were honored at the Indianapolis Department of Public Works Employee Appreciation Luncheon on October 17.

Employees who have served in the wastewater industry a combined 40 or more years with DPW and Citizens Energy Group were recognized on stage and congratulated by Mayor Joe Hogsett; AFSCME Local 725 President Steven Quick; DPW Director Daniel Parker; and Citizens Vice President, Water Operations Jeff Willman. Thank you to these individuals for their continued service to the residents of Indianapolis:

Mike Stone, Wastewater Electro Mechanic II – 41 years

Mike Newkirk, Wastewater Operator – 42 years

Duane Ford, Master Control Operator – 43 years

Mike Wood, Master Control Operator – 44 years

Benton Wombles, Wastewater Maintenance Planner – 45 years

Leroy Stone, Wastewater Collections Maintenance Tech III – 46 years

Phillip Long, Computerized Maintenance Management System Administrator – 48 years
