Whitney Named HR Professional of the Year by Indiana Chamber

Jodi Whitney, Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer, was honored with the 2022 Ogletree Deakins Human Resources Professional of the Year Award from the Indiana Chamber of Commerce on Friday, May 6.  

The award recognizes an individual each year who is dedicated to giving back to the community and the HR profession and who has made significant contributions to their workplace over the past year through implementation of best practices, organization design and effectiveness, and alignment with and accomplishment of the strategic direction of their company.  

Whitney was recognized for her role in creating an emergency health response team during the pandemic, forming a return-to-the-workplace team, establishing a flex work program, and developing diversity initiatives to increase awareness of racial injustice.  

Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar said, “Jodi Whitney is armed with a passion for helping others and possesses an innovative mind for problem-solving and strategy.” 

She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Central Indiana Chapter of SHRM as well as the board of visitors for Marian University’s Saint Joseph’s College. In addition, she’s the board vice president for Warm Heart Warm Home Foundation.
