Decode, Decide, Eat Better: Food Labels 101

By Sara Flores, Health Coach on 7/31/25 10:40 AM

Let’s be honest — food labels are the everyday version of fine print. They’re the tiny nutrition-packed novels hiding on the back of every cereal box, soup can, and “all-natural” snack bar. But what do they really mean? Is “low-fat” actually better? What’s with all the unpronounceable ingredients? And how did sugar manage to get 62 different aliases? If you’ve ever found yourself squinting at a package wondering if you’re about to make a healthy choice or fall into a cleverly marketed snack trap, you’re not alone.

This August, we’re peeling back the label — literally — in our 60 minute workshop Food Labels 101. You’ll learn how to decode the lingo, cut through the marketing fluff, and make smarter food choices without needing a PhD in biochemistry. Not only will you learn to cut the stress out of a grocery run, we’ll give you the skills to eat with confidence. Come hungry for knowledge — and leave full of surprising food truths (and 50 Well Points).
