FREE Yoga in May for Mental Health Awareness Month

Citizens Energy Group is offering FREE Yoga in May as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.
 
Virtual sessions are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30am - 12:30pm. 
 
There will also be an ONSITE class on Tuesday, May 20th at the General Office from 11:30am-12:30pm - you can also join virtually.

Benefits of Yoga for Mental Health

  • Release helpful brain chemicals. Most exercise triggers the release of "feel-good" chemicals in the brain.
  • Reduce stress. When Americans answered a survey about why they practiced yoga, 86% of them said that it helped to deal with stress. 
  • Improve sleep. Research suggests that yoga can improve sleep. 
  • Enhance social life. If you attend an in-person yoga class, you may benefit from interacting with others in your group.
  • Promote other healthy habits. If you practice yoga, you may be more likely to choose more wholesome foods.
